This video is amazing for several reasons, but the reason I am posting it and commenting on it is primarily for the first 60 seconds. First of all, this man has clearly been practicing and training in the Ashtanga Yoga style for a long time and probably every day… secondly, if you compare his Sun Salutations to mine, you will notice a big difference in the level of grace and control between the two.
Consider the core strength and control that this takes!
I consider myself to be pretty strong and have a significant amount of control over my body, and then I watch this video. Watching this makes me realize the vast potential of the human body. This man’s core strength, body awareness, and self control is phenomenal! Watch as he seems to effortlessly glide back from his forward bend to chaturanga… weightlessly, soundlessly - and then forward again from downward dog, light as a feather - what more is there to say??? Well, one more thing - I love the monkey frolicking in the background

Wow…that is amazing! It becomes more and more evident why yoga ‘everyday’ what ever style you prefer is essential! It isn’t until your body truly recognizes every movement…that it becomes so fluid! What inspiration!!!

Hello,
Thnak you for sharing this amazing video.
I have bee trying so hard to find out who this guy is in the “Ashtanga yoga demo” that I saw for the 1st time, 2 years ago on You Tube. This is the video that started my fascination and journey into Ashtanga yoga.
Yes, he is so agile and exudes so much efforttless control over his body and I was just in awe of the gravity defying motion he depicts in this video… I began a regular ashtanga practice from that point forward. Please, can you tell me who he is? he must be one of the great gurus of our time and still I cannot funcover his identity… I thought maybe it was a very yound David Williams but … really need to know who he is.

This is actually the amazing Steven Green who is located in Austin, TX. The video is shot in India. Here is his website: http://yogasunya.com/
I understand why he inspires you. The practice of yoga changes your perception of yourself, yes?
